Buy $10 Liberty Gold Eagle (Extremely Fine) - Random Date

Ranging from 1983 through 1907, the $10 Liberty Head Gold Eagle coins contain an actual gold weight of .48375 troy ounces. Raw is numismatic slang for an item that hasn't been graded by a grading service. XF gives the general condition of the item, in this case "Extremely Fine." Each coin is 27 mm in diameter and 2.03 mm thick.

Christian Gobrecht designed the images on both the obverse and the reverse. His bust of Lady Liberty, wearing a coronet saying "LIBERTY" is depicted on the obverse of the coin. The obverse also features 13 stars encircling Lady Liberty's bust, one star for each of the original colonies. The year of issuance is located underneath the bust. The reverse depicts the heraldic eagle, with the olive branch in one talon and arrows in the other. Above the eagle waves a banner with the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" inscribed on it. The country of origin surrounds the eagle, "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA." The denomination, "TEN D." along with the mint mark, if minted outside Philadelphia, can be found beneath the eagle.

Minted by the United States Mint, these $10 Liberty Head Gold Eagles were standard issue until 1907. After that, the design was changed by President Roosevelt. Date received is based upon available inventory.
