From the South African Mint, the organization that has produced the world famous Gold Krugerrand, comes the Natura series gold coin set. The 2008 1oz Proof Gold South African Natura Elephant NDOU set is composed of 99.99% or 24-karat gold. The Natura coin series features the animals of Africa; first beginning in 1994 showcasing the beauty of the majestic Lion. This sparking proof coin is encapsulated to preserve its pristine proof condition and resides in the original presentation case along with a certificate of authenticity from the South African Mint. The individually numbered certificate of authenticity guarantees the quality and authenticity of the coin made by the South African Mint.

Further, the certificate describes the coin’s specifications, the year, the limited edition as well as a short description of the product. It also depicts the signature of the South African Mint’s Managing Director, Mr. Andile Mvinjelwa. To prevent the duplication of a South African Mint product, the certificates are re-designed each year to include the coin design and each certificate is individually numbered according to the limited edition of the coin or set. Another security measure includes the South African Mint’s logo which is printed in transparent ink and only visible under ultra-violet light. The set also includes a 24-karat gold plated sterling silver sculpture of an African elephant, weighing 4 grams.

This coin set is a great addition for any coin collector or investors portfolio because of the low mintage and the high quality gold content. Contact Gainesville Coins for the latest on new arrivals and pricing on the 2008 1oz proof gold South African Natura coin set.
