2012 1 oz American Silver Eagle Roll of 20 Coins: Brilliant Uncirculated Condition

Buy 2012 American Eagle Silver Coin 20 Coin Roll from Gainesville Coins.

The Silver American Eagles are the official silver bullion coins of the United States and is among the most popular silver bullion coins today. Authorized by the Liberty Coin Act on July 1985, the American Silver Eagle was first released by the US Mint on November 24th, 1986. The American Silver Eagle is one troy ounce of 0.999 or 99.9% pure silver. Considered among the most beautiful silver coins minted, the Silver Eagle coin features A.A. Weinman's full-length Lady Liberty poised by the sun.

To meet rising demand for Silver Eagles in 2011, the U.S. Mint charged the San Francisco Mint to begin production of Silver Eagles, supplementing production at the West Point Mint. 2011 represented a record for Silver Eagle Sales, with just under 40 million sold, or 39,868,500. It should be noted that only Proof Silver Eagles bear the "W" mint mark for the West Point Mint. Non-Proof Silver Eagles DO NOT have a mint mark, so Silver Eagles minted in West Point and San Francisco are indistinguishable.

American Silver Eagles, 1 oz Silver Eagle Coins, are IRA eligible.

Front/Obverse

The obverse design features A.A. Weinman's "Walking Liberty," introduced on the Walking Liberty silver half-dollar which was minted from 1916-1947. "Liberty," "In God We Trust," and the year is also inscribed on the obverse.

Rear/Reverse

The reverse design features an eagle grasping an olive branch in one talon and arrows in the other. The eagle is situated behind a shield, and under 13 stars representing the original thirteen colonies. The Design is by sculptor John Mercanti.
