Product Details

Backed and guaranteed by the US government, this Early Release 2012 American Silver Eagle S$1 coin is composed of one troy ounce of .999 pure silver and achieves an NGC grading of MS70. Commissioned by the Liberty Coin Act in 1985, this coin continues to add value to the bullion market!

Bears the unforgettable Walking Liberty design by Adolf Weinman. First seen on coins in 1916, this engraving was not only one of the most beautiful US coin of its time but its high relief engraving proved intricate and very difficult to mint.

Liberty gracefully strides toward a rising sun, symbolic of the dawn of a new day. The legend "Liberty" is inter-spaced along the top rim while "In God We Trust" is inscribed on the bottom right of the coin. The mintage year is printed below the striding Liberty.

Created by John M Mercanti, the US Mint engraver portrays a heraldic eagle guarded by a shield. Inspired by the Presidential Seal, it depicts an eagle with its wings outstretched and its beak clutching the " E PLURIBUS UNUM" banner. It also carries the weight, denomination, and country of origin.
