The 1976 Canadian 1976 $100 Olympic 1/2oz Gold Proof coin is composed of 22-karat gold. This was the first coin in an annual series of $100 commemoratives. The coins feature a classic design of an ancient Olympian athlete and the Goddess Athena. The obverse side of the coin depicts a bust of Queen Elizabeth II with the date of issue.
CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY: This certificate attests that your coin is a Canadian 1976 $100 22-karat Gold proof coin of legal tender authorized by the Government of Canada and struck by the Royal Canadian Mint. The serial number on the Certificate also printed on the certificate.
