The 1988 1/20 oz Chinese Gold Panda is a fractional gold coin in the Gold Panda series minted by the Chinese government. These coins are struck in 24K gold and feature an annually changing reverse design showcasing the Giant Panda.
The obverse of each coin has an image of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvest located in the Temple of Heaven in China. Above the image are Chinese characters that mean "People's Republic of China." The year of issuance "1988" is at the bottom of the coin. The reverse has a picture of a giant panda playing with a stalk of bamboo.
