Minted by the Franklin Mint for the use of the Government in the Bahamas during the 1960s and 1970s, these Flamingo Silver Coins are made up of .8862 oz of .925 fine silver. This coin offers a face value of $2 dollars making it legal tender for use in the Bahamas.

Featuring a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, the obverse is inscribed "COMMONWEALTH OF THE BAHAMA ISLANDS" around the circumference of the coin. The reverse features 2 flamingos walking in shallow water with the sun setting off in the distance. The denomination and year are listed above.
