Details & Specifications

The 2013 1 oz American Gold Eagle - Brilliant Uncirculated Condition is an All-American coin in every sense of the term. All elements of the American Gold Eagle's production occur on American soil, including the gold alloy it originates from. By law, the gold used to compose these patriotic coins is extracted exclusively from U.S. mines. Careful consideration is put into the manufacturing of Gold Eagle Coins. From start to finish each coin is meticulously examined before packaging. These coins are set to the highest standards, earning them the title of America's official gold bullion coin.

As such, American Gold Eagles are the only 22 karat gold bullion coin backed and guaranteed by the United States Government for weight and purity. Each $50 American Gold Eagle weighs a total of 33.931 grams containing 1 troy ounce of fine gold. These government issued bullion gold coins carry a $50 face value, however, the coins' true value lies in their fine gold content.

Commissioned by the Gold Bullion Coin Act of 1985, the rich history of American Gold Eagles began with their initial 1986 release. From then on the coins would bear the famous Lady Liberty design illustrated by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. This image first appeared on the Double Eagle Coin minted from 1907-1933. The iconic design and beautifully polished finish attract collectors worldwide.

Awesome looking Gold Eagle
This is my first time ordering Gold from Gainesville Coins. I normally have only been ordering silver coins and silver bars, but I have to say that I'm impressed with the quality of this Brilliant Uncirculated Gold Eagle. I cant see any flaws on it, and it was well packed with all the other coins and rounds I bought with this order. This was the first time I used the bank wire option, and I have to say it was super easy, and the price was locked in on my credit card until the next day when I did the wire, and immediately Gainesville put the money back on my Credit Card. The shipping was super fast too! Gainesville Coins is without a doubt the best place to buy gold and silver rounds, coins and bars, with the lowest premium, don't waste your time on the auction sites trying to get a deal, just go to Gainesville Coins.com and place your order and be done with it, you wont be sorry.
