This 1975 Canadian silver dollar contains .375 ounces of fine silver. Struck to commemorate the centennial of the city of Calgary in Alberta, this coin features a cowboy riding a bucking bronco on the reverse. In the background stands a silhouette the Calgary skyline as well as oil wells which reference the city's ties to the Athabasca oil sands that Alberta is presently known for. The obverse contains the image of Queen Elizabeth II with the inscription "D.G. Regina" common to Canadian currency. This 1975 Canadian commemorative silver dollar comes with its own original display box and is a great way to honor one of great cities of our "Neighbor to the North."
