Gainesville Coins is offering a 2012 Burnished 1 oz American Silver Eagle just for you! This is America's official silver bullion coin with classic designs. The brilliant coin is noted as burnished, as the surface has a silky mirror like finish from a special polishing process. Contains 1 troy ounce of 99.9% fine silver. Comes in a sharp looking navy blue box certified by the United States Mint (includes Certificate of Authenticity).
The obverse features Adolph A. Weinman's picturesque design of Walking Liberty. She appears to sachet by sunlight with bouquet in hand. The creation originally appeared on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar, circulated from 1916 to 1947.
On the reverse is a significantly patriotic emblem of an American eagle with coat of arms on its chest, grasping a floral branch and arrows. Thirteen stars appear above its head. It is encircled by legends, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “1 oz. FINE SILVER—ONE DOLLAR.” Features a “W” mint mark from the West Point Mint location. This great image was designed by John Mercanti in 1986.
