Details & Specifications

The release of the 2014 1 oz Gold Canadian Maple Leaf sets yet another benchmark for high quality standards in the bullion coin market. The Royal Canadian Mint struck this coin from one troy ounce of .9999 pure gold. In fact, the RCM uses a new security feature on this 1 oz Maple Leaf. The security feature consists of micro-engraving the number 14 inside a textured maple leaf. The RCM has a growing reputation for its excellence in coinage and its high technological advancements. The RCM even produced the very fist gold bullion coin of a .9999 purity. The Government of Canada guarantees the weight, purity and legal tender of the Canadian Maple Leafs.

Highlighting the obverse is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her eloquent portrait is surrounded by the legend, “ELIZABETH II, 2014, 50 DOLLARS.” The reverse showcases the stunning design of the intricate Canadian Maple Leaf. The new security feature is located on the bottom right side of the leaf. Encircling the Maple Leaf are the inscriptions, “CANADA, 1 OZ OR PUR, FINE GOLD.” The gold bullion purity of the coin is struck twice on both sides of the leaf, “9999.”

The magnificent 2014 1 oz Gold Canadian Maple Leaf is admired for its superb RCM craftsmanship, its unique design, its new security feature, and .9999 pure gold content. Gainesville Coins offers an array of these beautiful Canadian Maple Leaf coins in gold and silver.
