The obverse of the coin features the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests. In 1420, the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests was built in Beijing, China. Above the temple are the inscriptions, “ Zhonghuá Rénmín Gònghéguó” which is Peoples' Republic of China in Chinese. The coin's year is struck below the temple, "2014." Highlighting the reverse is an intricately designed Panda. This design showcases a panda resting on a tree branch, while surrounded by bamboo. The reverse includes the denomination of 100 yuan and the legend “1/4 oz Au .999.”
