Details & Specifications

Fractional gold coins are a cost-effective way to add small amounts of gold to your portfolio without breaking your bank account. One of the most popular forms of fractional gold comes from the Royal Canadian Mint, the 2016 1/10 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf Bullion Coin. Each of these tenth-ounce (0.10 troy ounce) gold coins are struck from .9999 fine gold. Each coin is also legal tender with a face value of 5 Dollars.

The reverse design depicts Walter Ott's original maple leaf design, one of the hallmarks of the Gold Maple series. An attractive radial line finish doubles as a unique aesthetic and a security feature that makes these coins near-impossible to counterfeit. The purity "9999" is shown on either side of the maple leaf, with the specifications "FINE GOLD 1/10 OZ OR PUR" inscribed along the bottom rim. The issuing nation "CANADA" is found at the top rim.

The obverse uses the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, designed by Susanna Blunt. Her Majesty's name curls around the top rim, while the same radial line finish appears on both sides of the coin. The bottom rim includes inscriptions for the denomination, "5 DOLLARS," and the year of issue, "2016." The coin's edge is reeded.

Although the main reason that investors choose 2016 1/10 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf bullion coins is because they want to purchase small amounts of gold at a time, these coins have also gained a following among collectors due to their relatively low mintages. The Gold Maple Leaf series is also renowned for its anti-counterfeiting features. Add them to your portfolio from Gainesville Coins today!
