Details & Specifications

The world's most popular silver bullion coin returns for 2017, and you can stack up these .999 fine silver coins in style with the 2017 1 oz American Silver Eagle Roll of 20 Coins (BU). Each coin features a Brilliant Uncirculated finish and contains 1 troy ounce (31.1 grams) of pure silver content. Each Silver Eagle is also legal tender, bearing a face value of 1 Dollar.

The obverse design, originally designed by Adolph Weinman in 1916, shows Lady Liberty majestically striding to the left, raising her arm toward the rising sun. Draped in a dress decorated like the American flag, Miss Liberty carries a branch of laurel in her other arm. The legend "LIBERTY" stretches around the top half of the rim, while "IN GOD WE TRUST" is found below. The year-date "2017" appears beneath Liberty's foot at the bottom rim.

On the reverse, former U.S. Mint Chief Engraver John Mercanti's heraldic eagle design is used. With wings spread, the eagle carries arrows and an olive branch while thirteen stars hang above its head. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" runs across the top half of the rim, followed by "1 OZ. FINE SILVER~ONE DOLLAR," indicating the coin's composition and denomination. The coin has a reeded or serrated edge.

Not only does the Silver Eagle enjoy widespread recognition around the world, making it extremely liquid, it is also a government-issued option for silver buyers and coin collectors alike. Order your 2017 1 oz American Silver Eagle - Roll of 20 Coins from Gainesville Coins today!
