Buy 2019 1/4 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf - BU
Few bullion coins can rival the stellar reputation of the Gold Maple Leaf, the official gold bullion coin of Canada and the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM). It holds the distinction as the first annually-produced coin in the world to use .9999 fine (99.99% pure) gold.
Each of these coins contains one-quarter oz (0.25 troy ounce) of pure gold by weight and has a legal tender denomination of 10 Dollars (CAD).
The obverse design is perhaps the most easily recognizable aspect of the Gold Maple. A detailed image of a maple leaf, designed by Walter Ott, graces the obverse. The issuing country "CANADA" is inscribed at the top rim, and the purity "9999" is placed on either side of the leaf. The background is filled with a pattern of radial lines. At the bottom rim, inscriptions include "FINE GOLD 1/4 OZ OR PUR."
Susanna Blunt's effigy of Queen Elizabeth II appears on the reverse. She faces toward the right and wears a necklace of pearls, but no royal crown. The field uses the same radial line pattern as the obverse. "ELIZABETH II" is inscribed a the top rim, while the bottom rim includes the denomination "10 DOLLARS" and the year-date "2019." The edge, the "third side" of the coin, features a reeded design.
You will find the 2019 1/4 oz Canadian Gold Maple Leaf available for a very low premium over spot at Gainesville Coins. Many investors trust bullion coins for their government backing, but it is also an advantage to be able to purchase gold in fractional amounts like a quarter-ounce. This makes it easier to add to your investment on a tight budget or to sell a portion of your gold when funds are needed.
