Buy 1951-1954 Mexican Silver 5 Pesos - Hidalgo (.6430 oz of Silver)

Mexican 5 Pesos Hidalgo Coins have an actual fine silver content of 0.6430 troy ounces. 5 Pesos Hidalgo coins were minted from 1951 to 1954 by the Casa de Moneda, or House of Money, in Mexico. Each coin is legal tender in Mexico and has a face value of 5 pesos. The diameter of the 5 Peso Hidalgo coin is 40mm.

The obverse of this Mexican 72% pure silver coin features the official name of the state of Mexico, "Estados Unidos Mexicanos," arched across the top. The elegant Mexican Coat of Arms, featuring an eagle devouring a rattlesnake, is struck with impressive detail on the center of the coin. Under the eagle are both the weight and purity of the coin. Since this is a legal tender coin, the denomination of, "cinco pesos," is inscribed on the bottom in large letters. Beneath the denomination you will find the date of issue and the "Mo" mint mark. Orders will be filled with random dates of our choice between 1951-1954 based on the in stock inventory at the time of purchase. The reverse features a left-facing portrait of Miguel Hidalgo, the Father of Mexican Independence. Surrounding the portrait is a large wreath.
