This 2000 Canadian 1 Oz Silver Maple Leaf Coin with Fireworks Privy comes sealed in the original Royal Canadian Mint plastic. Issued to commemorate the new millennium, this coin carries a privy seal of fireworks on reverse. Made of 1 oz of 99.99% silver, this single-date millennium coin had a total mintage of 403,652 coins.
The obverse features the profile of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Dora de Péédry-Hunt. The denomination of 5 Dollars and the date 2000 run along the bottom edge of the coin. On the reverse, below and to the right of the traditional maple leaf, is an oval privy mark of exploding fireworks with the date 2000. On either side of the leaf is “9999” denoting the 99.99% Pure Silver in the coin. The lower border of the coin carries the legend FINE SILVER 1 OZ ARGENT PUR.
