This 1972 Mexican Silver 25 Pesos is made from .5209 oz of Silver and honors Mexico's 26th president, Benito Juarez. This detailed coin was struck by the oldest mint in America, Casa de Moneda de Mexico.
The obverse of this coin features a portrait of President Juarez, who served 5 terms from 1858-1872. The legend around the device is "VEINTICINCO PESOS," at the top of the coin and "LEY 0.720 M 1972" at the bottom.
The reverse features a highly detailed Mexican coat of arms of an eagle perched on top of a cactus, grasping a snake in its beak and talon. "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" is the struck around the top rim.
