The reverse of the coin features an enameled colorized portrait of a majestic tiger gazing out. The animal is enclosed by The Chinese character for "tiger" is located above his head. The rim is inscribed and the legend "YEAR OF THE TIGER.” The Perth Mint "P" mint mark is visible to the right of the tiger's bold face. Those born in the Year of the Tiger are said to be charming, courageous, authoritative and seductive.
