Details & Specifications

The 2010 Australian Year of the Tiger 1/20 oz Gold Coin represents the third issue within the Australian Lunar Series II. This new series began in 2008 and will continue through the 12 remaining animals from the historic Chinese Lunar Calendar.

The obverse features the impression of Queen Elizabeth II. Etched on the rim of the face is the country of origin, denomination, weight and purity of .9999 Gold. The year and "ELIZABETH II" is also inscribed on the coin's face.

The reverse features a detailed portrait of a tiger's face centered. "Year of the Tiger" is engraved below the animal while the Chinese symbol for tiger is etched to the top of the coin's reverse.
