The 2013 1 oz Silver Canadian Wood Bison is the sixth and final addition to the Canadian Wildlife Series. It is the second coin of the series to be released in this year, following the Pronghorn Antelope design.

Struck in 1 troy oz of .9999 pure silver, this coin is one of the highest silver density coins available. Previous designs of the series include the Wolf, Grizzly Bear, Cougar, Moose and Pronghorn Antelope.

The coin's obverse features Susanna Blunt's rendition of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is pictured beneath an inscription of her name, with the coin's denomination, "5 DOLLARS" and the mint year, "2013" written along the bottom edge.

On the reverse is the iconic Wood Bison trudging through the snow, with a dense forest of Evergreen Trees in the background. The image was designed by Emily S. Damstra, who also designed the Pronghorn Antelope.
