The 2010 5 oz Silver America The Beautiful Bullion Coin - Mount Hood National Park, is made from 5 oz of .999 fine silver and comes in a large 3 inch diameter. It is a reproduction of the America the Beautiful quarters that are in circulation.
Each bullion coin in the series features the classic U.S. quarter design on the obverse, with George Washington's left profile centered on the coin surrounded by the legends "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "QUARTER DOLLAR". The mottos "Liberty" and "In God We Trust" are to the left and right of Washington's profile, respectively.
On the reverse, Mt. Hood rises majestically behind Mirror Lake, resulting in a silver rendition of one of the most iconic images of Mt. Hood. "MOUNT HOOD," "OREGON," "2010," and "E PLURIBUS UNUM" surround the scene along the rim.
The edge of the coin is not reeded, instead the purity and weight are displayed with incused edge lettering.
