The 2012 3/4 oz Canadian Silver One Dollar Coin was minted in Canada by the Royal Canadian Mint, and contains 3/4 oz of .9999 fine silver. Minted in 2012 to commemorate the 200th Anniversary of the War of 1812, this unique coin had a mintage of only 690,800 coins. As legal Canadian tender, this coin carries a denomination of one dollar.

The obverse of the 3/4 oz War of 1812 commemorative coin is similar to the iconic Maple Leaf Coin. A centered right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II takes up most of the obverse. Along the bottom of the rim is the legend "Canada Dollar".

The reverse of this Canadian commemorative is truly breathtaking. Along the top of the rim are the dates "1812-2012". In the center is a highly-detailed portrait depicting a lion and an eagle facing one another holding a shield with a maple leaf design on its surface. This image represents the two combatants of the war. Under the shield is the purity of 9999. Along the bottom rim reads "Fine Silver 3/4 oz Argent Pur".
