These France 50 Centimes Silver Coins were minted between 1897-1920 and are provided in Random Dates due to availability at time of purchase. Each coin is made from 2.5 grams of .835 fine silver, with an actual silver content of .0671 troy ounces.

The obverse depicts a woman sowing a field with the sun rising behind her. This image may have been the inspiration for the American "Walking Liberty" design by Adolph A. Weinman. "REPUBLIQUE FRANCAISE" is seen struck on either side of 'The Sower,' as she has come to be known.

The reverse shows the year, denomination, and motto of "LIBERTE, EGALITE, FRATERNITE," or "Freedom, Equality, Brotherhood." The device is a leafy branch separating the date and face value.
