Buy S.S. Titanic 1 Pound (14.63 oz troy oz) Silver Art Round (.999 Fine)

Perhaps the most famous maritime disaster in history, the 1912 sinking of the Titanic has captivated the world's imagination for over 100 years. This 1 AVP pound (454.2gram) "A Ship To Remember" SS Titanic Silver Medal is struck from 14.63 troy oz of .999 fine silver.

The obverse shows the mighty ship, the pride of the White Star Line, sinking by the bow under a sky filled with stars. Some lifeboats with lucky survivors occupy the foreground of the scene.

The reverse shows an empty ocean, with the inscription "In Memory of the 1503 Souls Who Died," with a ribbon superimposed that reads "One Pound .999 Fine Silver." The date of Titanic's sinking, April 14, 1912, is inscribed along the bottom.

While the denomination of $200 is inscribed on reverse, there is no issuing nation indicated. Therefore we have classified this as a medal or art round. This silver round measures a huge 90mm in diameter, over 2-1/2 inches! This provides a large canvas on which to display the memorable scene of the loss of the famous "unsinkable" ship.
