Gainesville Coins proudly presents the third and final release in the Perth Mint's unique Gods of Olympus coin series, the 2014 Hades Gods Of Olympus 2 oz High Relief silver coin, graded PF69 Early Release by NGC! This indicates the coin was graded just one point shy of a flawless score, and was received by NGC for grading within 30 days of being struck at the Mint. This attractive coin contains 2 troy ounces of actual silver weight (ASW) and is struck from .999 fine silver. Even though this coin is safely encapsulated in NGC's sonically sealed holder.
The reverse design shows the intimidating Hades, Greek god of the Underworld. Given an attractive "antique" proof finish, this coin is also done in dramatic High Relief. Hades sits at his throne, which is constructed from bones and is outfitted with a skull at each hand rest. The vicious three-headed dog of Greek mythology, Cerberus, is eagerly waiting by his side. Flames fill the rest of the field. "HADES" is inscribed at the bottom near Hades' feet. This coin is rimless, as the design extends all the way to the edge.
The obverse is graced by a right-facing portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty's name is inscribed along the top half of the coin's perimeter. The bottom half of the perimeter features the weight and purity, "2oz 999 SILVER," the year and country of issue, "2014 TUVALU," as well as the legal tender denomination, "2 DOLLARS."
The Perth Mint's Gods of Olympus series has been wildly popular, as collectors have taken to the unique "antique" style of the designs. They are also in high demand due to their extremely limited mintage of just 1,500 coins! Add a real stunner to your collection with the 2014 Hades Gods of Olympus 2 oz High Relief silver coin graded PF69 Early Release by NGC!
