A bald eagle is shown with its wings spread in a majestic pose. An olive branch and a bundle of arrows are held in the eagle's talons and its breast is protected by an unsupported shield. A banner in the eagle's beak reads "E PLURIBUS UNUM." Thirteen stars are placed above its head. "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" is inscribed at the top rim while inscriptions at the bottom rim read, "1 OZ. FINE SILVER~ONE DOLLAR."
