Buy 2019 1/4 oz Austrian Gold Philharmonic - Brilliant Uncirculated
Minted from .9999 fine gold (99.99% pure), the 2019 1/4 oz Austrian Gold Philharmonic (BU) is on par with the purest bullion coins in the world.
Issued by the Austrian Mint, each coin bears a legal tender face value of 25 euro and contains one-quarter ounce (1/4 troy oz) of fine gold content.
Known throughout the global bullion trade for its inimitable design artwork, created by Thomas Pesendorfer, the Gold Philharmonic is an homage to Vienna's famous orchestra.
The pipe organ at the Musikverein (music hall) in Vienna is depicted on the obverse. Rim inscriptions include the "25 EURO" denomination below and the issuing country "REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH" (Republic of Austria) above. The year, purity, and gold content are inscribed across the middle of the design.
An array of musical instruments is arranged on the reverse design. They include a Viennese horn, a bassoon, a harp, and four violins bookending a cello at the center. "WIENER PHILHARMONIKER" is inscribed along the top rim. The edge design is reeded (serrated).
With 1/4 oz of pure gold, the 25 Euro fractional variety of the Gold Philharmonic is an excellent bargain for bullion investors and coin collectors. Like its 1 oz counterpart, it has been issued every year since 1989. Check out our prices on these popular European gold bullion coins.
