Buy 2020 1/4 oz Austrian Gold Philharmonic - Brilliant Uncirculated

For more than three decades, the Austrian Gold Philharmonic has reigned as the best-selling gold coin in Europe.

The beloved "Gold Philly" has the advantage of exceptionally high purity. Each coin is struck from .9999 fine gold, meaning 99.99% pure.

The coin's actual gold weight (AGW) is one-quarter troy ounce (0.25 troy oz). It is also legal tender with a face value of 25 euros.

Philharmonic Coin Design

The obverse features a wide-angle view of the Vienna music hall's impressive pipe organ. Inscriptions below include "1/4 UNZE GOLD 999.9" for the composition, "2020" for the year of issue, and "25 EURO" for the denomination. The official name of the Austrian Republic "REPUBLIK OSTERREICH" is inscribed at the top rim.

On the reverse, a group of orchestral instruments are arranged symmetrically. Around a cello at the center, four violins are joined by a Vienna horn, a bassoon, and a harp. The series name is inscribed above the instruments, reading "WIENER PHILHARMONIKER." The edge design of the coin is a reeded pattern.

The Brilliant Uncirculated finish brings out the full beauty and luster of the design, as well.

Investing in physical gold in fractions of an ounce has never been easier. Philharmonic coins have the added appeal of being backed by the full faith and credit of the Austrian government.
