The obverse features the left profile of Nicholas II, the last and doomed Czar of Russia. His rule ended with him and his entire family being forcibly exiled from Russia, held captive, and finally executed by a Bolshevik group. The reverse showcases the Imperial Coat of Arms, the seal of the Tsarist ruler of a crowned double-headed eagle bearing a shield, and with the face value and year below.
