Unlike many of our competitors, we have no minimum requirements when selling to us--just like we have no minimum requirements when you purchase from us. What Can You Sell? Gainesville Coins is always happy to buy your investment-grade precious metals, whether they are in the form of coins, rounds, or bars. This includes gold, silver, platinum, and palladium. We make competitive offers on numismatic coins, as well. We do NOT buy jewelry or scrap metal, however.
Why Sell To Gainesville Coins? Gainesville Coins openly publishes our Bid and Ask prices on all eligible items so our customers have transparent pricing information when deciding to sell. We pay top dollar for your coins and precious metal products, offer convenient payment options, and have a courteous staff of sales representatives who are here to help you with every step of the process, ensuring a pleasant and worry-free experience when selling to us.
How will I be paid for my items? You can receive your payment in the form of a check, mailed out the day we receive your package, or via bank wire. Bank wires are also sent the day your package is received, but require a transfer fee.
Why do I have to enter my payment information to lock in the price? Because of market volatility and the fact that we deal in large volumes of precious metals, in order to lock in the stated price it is necessary for us to hedge against potential market losses by selling off an amount of precious metals equal to what is declared on your sellers form before we actually receive your items. Should we be unable to accept your items upon arrival, this could result in a market loss for Gainesville Coins that would need to be recouped.
How should I package my items? Package your items so that they fit securely within the box to prevent damage from the coins clashing together. Avoid packaging them with anything acidic, such as wood, heavily inked papers, or pvc plastics(i.e. soft plastics). Things that are ok to package with your items would be hard plastic coin cases, shipping peanuts, styrofoam, and unmarked paper. Be sure to package your items in a dry environment and prevent any moisture from entering your package i.e wet paper or styrofoam.
