Gainesville Coins' exclusive series of Guy Harvey collectibles continues with the 2016 Guy Harvey© Colorized 1 oz Proof Silver Round - Orca! Struck from .999 fine silver, these full-color collectible rounds are limited to a mintage of just 1,500 pieces! Each colorized proof round contains 1 troy ounce of pure silver and comes in its own presentation portfolio.
The front of the round shows the image of an Orca whale from Guy Harvey's original "Gibraltar Quick Step" painting. This officially licensed artwork shows the Orca (also known as a "killer whale") swimming toward the right in pursuit of Bluefin Tuna, one of its preferred meals. The inscriptions "ORCA" and "GIBRALTAR QUICK STEP" appear at the top and bottom rim, respectively, while the Guy Harvey© copyright and "Established 1986" are found to the left and right rim, respectively.
The back side of the round features a picturesque scene of ocean waves crashing with orange and grey clouds looming in the background. The unmistakable Guy Harvey signature is overlaid on top of the image, with the serial number below. The outer rim is inscribed with "©Guy Harvey, Inc." and the year-date "2016" followed by the specifications "One Troy Ounce .999 Fine Silver." The edge is reeded.
The Guy Harvey Collection is the first time that the beloved artist and marine scientist's work has appeared on silver bullion. This 2016 Guy Harvey© Colorized 1 oz Proof Silver Round - Orca recreates his officially licensed "Gibraltar Quick Step" print in beautiful, vibrant color. Even better, only 1,500 of these 1-ounce silver rounds were minted, so be sure to pick yours up exclusively at Gainesville Coins before they're gone!
