Gainesville Coins Exclusive Lunar Silver Rounds
Over the past two decades, the Chinese Lunar Calendar has grown into one of the most popular themes for a variety of gold and silver products. It not only appeals to people who love animals, but is also usually associated with the idea of good fortune in Chinese culture.
Gainesville Coins has a series of exclusive Lunar Silver Rounds available at competitive pricing, making them a great choice for collectors and bullion investors alike. These designs were created in-house by our own talented artists, and are only available at Gainesville Coins!
2014 Year of the Horse
The Year of the Horse arrived in 2014, the first time since 2002 in the 12-year Lunar cycle. Those born in the Year of the Horse are often said to be optimistic, independent, easygoing, and exhibit remarkable endurance. Like a horse, they are often relied upon to be the strongest workers.
Horse Silver & Copper Round
The exclusive Gainesville Coins design for the Year of the Horse shows the front view of a horse gallopping through a countryside pathway. The horse is winking while its tale and mane flow in the wind. The year-date "2014" is found to the left while the Chinese character for "Horse" is placed to the right. The back side of the design shows the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac in a circle, with the weight "1oz" and purity ".999 Fine Silver" inscribed in the middle.
In addition to our 1-ounce silver round, which is eligible for inclusion in your individual retirement account (IRA), we also offer this beautiful design in a .999 fine copper round!
Horse 10oz Silver Bar
Our first custom-made Lunar silver bar design features the 2014 Year of the Horse on the Year of the Horse 10 oz Silver Bar. This .999 fine silver bullion gallops into view with 10 troy ounces of pure silver content.
2015 Year of the Goat
2015 marked the Year of the Goat in the Lunar calendar. While there is often some disagreement about whether it is more accurately known as the Year of the Ram or Year of the Sheep, the ambiguity does not appear to be important within the tradition of the Chinese New Year. All three terms are used interchangeably. People born under the sign of the Goat are believed to be gentle, considerate, kind-hearted, compassionate, and sensitive.
The front side of the Gainesville Coins Exclusive Year of the Goat 1 oz Silver Round shows a pair of goats, an adult and a billy (or kid), standing against a background of mountains and flowers. The year-date "2015" appears at the bottom rim while the Chinese character for "Goat" is placed to the right. On the back, the round shows each of the 12 signs of the Chinese Lunar Calendar arranged in a circle. The weight and purity are found inscribed in the inner circle.
For an affordable option, you can purchase this same exclusive design in a 1 oz copper round! Struck from .999 fine copper, these rounds contain 1 avoirdupois (AVP) ounce, which is slightly larger than the troy ounce.
2016 Year of the Monkey
The Lunar Year of the Monkey is back for 2016, and Gainesville Coins has another exclusive design to go along with it! Struck from .999 fine silver, the 2016 Year of the Monkey 1 oz Silver Round is another fantastic work of art.
Monkey Silver Round
The front of the design shows a baby monkey hugging closely to its mother in front of a wall of bamboo stalks in the backdrop. To the left, the Chinese character for "Monkey" and the year-date "2016" are placed within a square. The image is rendered in incredible detail. Meanwhile, the back side of the design once again uses a circular depiction of the 12 different signs of the Chinese Lunar Calendar. "2016 Year of the Monkey" and the purity ".999 Fine Silver" are inscribed around the weight "1oz" at the center of the design.
People born in the Year of the Monkey are said to be clever, versatile, sociable, as well as honest. This silver round makes a great addition to any collection or IRA!
Monkey 10oz Silver Bar
Gainesville Coins has continued its exclusive line of Lunar-themed silver bars with the 2016 Year of the Monkey 10 oz Silver Bar, as well! Using an original design, these bullion bars also are struck from .999 fine silver and contain a total of 10 troy ounces of pure silver.
