We are a full-service gold dealer and take pride in being one of the most trusted places to sell gold online. We make competitive cash offers on a wide variety of numismatic coins, as well.

We will buy back any items which we have sold or offer for sale, as any legitimate coin dealer should. This includes old coins or new 2021 gold bullion coins.

We can provide an objective evaluation of the value of your metals or coin collection thanks to decades of experience as an industry leading precious metals dealer. There is no charge for our free appraisals, even if you decide not to sell your coins.

We have been a member of the American Numismatic Association (ANA) and National Coin & Bullion Association (formerly ICTA). Gainesville Coins has also been recognized for our excellent service by the National Inflation Assocation (NIA).

We will buy individual coins or even your entire collection. That includes proof sets and mint sets from the United States Mint, as well as a wide range of foreign coins. It doesn't matter if its one ounce or tens of thousands of dollars in gold content. Choose Gainesville Coins as the best place when you're ready to sell coins online!

Please note we do NOT buy gold jewelry or silver jewelry, diamond rings, gold watches, scrap gold, sterling silver flatware, world paper money, or base-metal coins like Wheat cents or Jefferson nickels, however. Check your local jewelry stores for those items.

If you have rare coins or key dates of a coin, you should consider having it certified by a third-party grading service, such as NGC or PCGS, in order to get the full value for your collectible. It can add up to a significant amount of extra money—hundreds or thousands of dollars in price difference for a graded coin.

Check our live spot price charts for up-to-the-minute precious metals prices, including the current gold spot price.

How much will Gainesville Coins pay me for my metals?

We publish our Bid Price (per troy ounce) for generic silver and gold items on our gold price and silver price pages. We also list our respective Bid Prices for platinum and palladium.

One of the important things to keep in mind is that precious metal prices fluctuate all the time throughout the business day, so we cannot lock in the exact amount you will be paid until we receive the items you would like to sell.

Unlike an auction house, there is no seller's fee or final value fees when you sell to us.

How should I package my coins and bullion?

  1. Package your valuable coins so that they fit securely within the box to prevent damage from the items clashing together.

  2. Avoid packaging coins with anything acidic, such as wood, heavily inked papers, or PVC plastics (i.e. soft plastics).
Things that are okay to package with your items are:

    • hard plastic coin cases
    • shipping peanuts
    • styrofoam
    • unmarked paper
  3. Be sure to package your items in a dry environment and prevent any moisture from entering your package, i.e. wet paper or wet styrofoam.
  4. Make sure you print out and include your packing slip with the items you're selling. Both USPS registered mail and FedEx shipping are acceptable carriers.
